The congregation of Hope Lutheran Church believes, teaches, and confesses that the chief doctrine of the Christian faith is the justification of the believer by God's grace through faith in Christ.

We uphold the Holy Scriptures, consisting of the 39 canonical books of the Old Testament and 27 canonical books of the New Testament to be the innerrant and infallible Word of God. As such, the Holy Scriptures possess both divine power and divine authority and are authoritative in all matters of faith and life.

We uphold the Lutheran Confessions (Book of Concord), without reservation, because they are a true and faithful exposition of the Holy Scriptures. This is referred to as a "quia subscription."
